A to Z / W is for Wasabi

Wasabi.  Eat it with sushi...

This letter was an eye opener - what we call and eat in the States is most likely not wasabi.  Chances are pretty good that it is horseradish.  Real wasabi is extremely difficult to grow.  Unless you go to Japan and watch the chef grate and make wasabi in front of you, it is horseradish.

  1. I've never had wasabi. However, this artwork is soothing in terms of the earthy colors, the layers, and the blend of it all. The slight pop of white (chopstick cover?) brightens the whole composition without cluttering it. Lovely work.
