The snail moves at the brisk pace of .03 miles per hour, while the sloth is only .003 mph!

Peru - an amazing adventure

 I spent 2 weeks in Peru this summer. After getting home, I dealt with a week of what I like to call, "travel sickness" - lots of coughing, runny nose, maybe a fever, and general exhaustion from running too hard. Before feeling 100%, I was off to Alaska on a completely different adventure! I'm only now taking the time to go thru my photos, read my journal entries, and begin to stitch a memory project. I have this crazy notion that I will compose my photos, stitching, and memories into a photo book. Then I had this silly idea that I would go back in time and do the same for other trips. 

So... I begin with Peru. 

Butterfly Bits #2

 This has been an ongoing project for much too long. I came across a call for entries and decided that a commitment would most likely be the only way the quilt would get finished! (Yes - it even has a sleeve sewn on the back, just incase it makes the cut!)

I'm back!

 After 4 weeks of travel and a couple of sick weeks, I am home and enjoying settling back into a normal routine. Dorothy was right.

Yesterday I headed up an all day fabric dye at our local library. I stuck with greens to work ahead for a spring project. A few pieces need another layer, but for now they are washed and dried. Progress!
