Monkeys!

This was a fun adventure (at least until I got bit!).  The little black one on my shoulder was quite shy, but jumped up for some attention. Our guide said that it was the first time he had seen her do this. Was it my hat? Or did it just decide it was time to be brave like the other monkeys. I think it was sweat that made the monkeys so affectionate! It was at least 100 degrees and I, for one, was sweating out every drop of liquid from my body...

The snail moves at the brisk pace of .03 miles per hour, while the sloth is only .003 mph!

Peru - an amazing adventure

 I spent 2 weeks in Peru this summer. After getting home, I dealt with a week of what I like to call, "travel sickness" - lots of coughing, runny nose, maybe a fever, and general exhaustion from running too hard. Before feeling 100%, I was off to Alaska on a completely different adventure! I'm only now taking the time to go thru my photos, read my journal entries, and begin to stitch a memory project. I have this crazy notion that I will compose my photos, stitching, and memories into a photo book. Then I had this silly idea that I would go back in time and do the same for other trips. 

So... I begin with Peru.
