Milagros

A few weeks ago I ordered a bag of milagros charms from a shop on Ebay. They finally made it here yesterday.  Unfortunately the seller was in Texas and had to deal with no power, and bad weather. My heart goes out to the Texas residents hard hit with the winter.

Milagros means miracles. I wanted to create get well cards with these charms and made a quick one last night:

Hexi

While visiting my son, I have plenty of time to sit and sew. My goal is one hexi a day during the 100 day project - easily exceeded the past few days!

Palette: Carolina Wren

I am taking the Alisa Burke online class,  "The Homebody Journal".  It popped up on my Instagram feed and caught my attention.  I've taken a number of her classes thru the years and have always felt that they are tremendous classes at a very reasonable price.

The first session is on developing colour palettes.  I am already having fun with this and after the first session must say that I would recommend her class!

#the100dayproject

The 100 Day Project began on the 31st of January. I am working toward 100 Hexagons during this challenge.  At the beginning the ideas come easy and the work is exciting. Will I feel the same motivation 94 days from now? I can only hope...

Em's quilt

I spent time with mom this week to work on my nieces quilt. The main body is done, but I'm not happy with the size - a little small. Next sewing day we will add about 5" of aqua on all 4 sides.

February journaling

During the month of February I plan to fill an old book with paper dolls! Fun and colourful way to whittle away at my paper stash.
