Paper making

I haven't made paper in years. Recently I saw an artist using a big slab of recycled paper for a painting. It seemed like a good project to begin today.

I have lots of old book pages. The process is simple: tear the paper into small pieces, soak in water, and use an old blender to grind into pulp.

I used a piece of needlepoint canvas on an old cookie rack with a small frame for the pouring station.

I will let it drain over night, some squeezing out water with make it compact. I imagine it will take some time to dry.
