I left home a bit early to get to the airport in plenty of time to look at the current Quad City Arts gallery exhibit. I was overwhelmed by the number of people waiting at security. When I realized it was Honor Flight, I was excited to look for my friend Jerry. We recently had lunch and he told me that he was going, but didn't know the date. I found him waiting with a roomfull of veterans.
I did manage to take one quilt photo. Marykay made this for the exhibit. How perfect that it is hanging on this special day.
