Chagall:White Crucifixion

 During a recent trip to Chicago, I sought out this painting. Yes, I've seen it before, but it continues to intrigue me.

Solar Dye / first jar

 Beth shared a link to solar dye. I had to try it! This is jar #1. The horrible part will be the 3 month wait.

I used silk for this experiment, but will start another jar with linen scraps and threads.

 It's currently raining, no - pouring outdoors. I can hear thunder and some hail hitting the house. I'm quietly stitching, drinking tea, and listening to the show. Too dark to see anything. I do enjoy the early morning.

My current stitching is on dress #9 of my series. It is my climate change dress focusing on melting glaciers.  More beads needed? 

SDC day #19? Not cleaning...

 So, I'm not doing very well on my Swedish Death Cleaning plan.  Really? I pretty much knew that I was doomed before even starting.  Travel and more travel got in the way.  I did manage to not make a purchase at the store the other day.  A few photos of what I wanted, but didn't buy.  Does that count?
