I finally have enough avocado pits to cook up a nice dye. I threw in a some powder red henna that I discovered while doing some cleaning. Not sure why I had it.
Today I am dyeing fabric, birch bark and a bundle of tea bag strings. It has simmered for an hour. Now to run off to lunch with a friend a let the dye sit an cool off until I get home. Or maybe tomorrow. No reason to rush the process. (I keep reminding myself that my word of the year is, "andante".
