Each year I find myself growing fewer veggies in my garden. This year it was because of travel during planting time. I do manage to put in a few tomatoes each year. American midwest tradition? I like to grow yellow pear tomatoes to dehydrate for winter use. This year they seem rather small and are splitting before picking. My roma tomatoes are looking great and with little time this weekend to deal with them, I decided to dehydrate a batch. I am happy with the results.
I ended up with a quart container to put away for later. Prep time was quick and easy and the whole house smelled like an Italian restaurant - very yummy!
